Celera buys rights to Bayer asthma product
Baltimore Business Journal
Rockville-based Celera Genomics Group announced Tuesday that it has purchased from Bayer AG the rights to the German company's asthma products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As part of the new agreement, Celera and Bayer terminated an 8-year-old deal forged by Bayer and Arris Pharmaceutical Corp. a company that is now part of Celera's business division in San Francisco.
Celera's purchase of the asthma products is part of its plan to develop a large portfolio or clinical and preclinical chemical compounds.
